Continuing the Shazzie experience - the second of six to be released, Goddess is smooth, she melts perfectly in your mouth, and she is sweet without being sickly. Containing mesquite, which has a really low GI, and lucuma, a rare Peruvian fruit, this raw vegan chocolate bar is the nearest they say they have tasted to a bar of mauve. Goddess will make you want to dance until the sun rises.

This is the best of the Shazzie bunch. Maybe because it is the one which resembles 'real' chocolate the most. Crumb texture, not classic dense marbled texture of chocolate. Very ground-almondy. Medium to mild sweetness. Probably would buy again. My children were not so keep on the Shazzie range, maybe because they are not so sweet? This one is the only one they ate with the mild reverence usually reserved for a treat type of food.

This was my first Shazzies bar, and it's not a patch on OMBARs or MULU! It's 'pleasant' to eat, but strangely unchocolately! not very sweet or especially tasty. I'll plod through it as it's healthy and has a nice texture, but wouldn't buy another bar when there are OMBARS to be scoffed! at a much better price !! :o))
